Chris Toyne
Managing Director
Chris formed the company back in 1976 with his father-in-law from a double garage in Clowne, moving to Staveley a few years later and then to bigger premises at Brimington.  After 25 years the company moved to its current location at Sheepbridge a few years ago.   Chris has built the company up and has guided his son Jason, along with him on this journey. Chris has vast knowledge of all aspects of engineering and design and whilst semi-retired, still is on hand to offer advice. Outside of work Chris devotes much of his time to being a Rotarian and raising money for local charities.
Jason Toyne
Director
Since leaving school, Jason has worked at Mintdale and learned everything there is to know about the many processes involved in the manufacturer of our products.  With a true engineering brain, Jason solves problems like puzzles.  A plain talker, Jason is the linchpin of the company.  He keeps the plates spinning like a Dynamo bunny, constantly on the go, soaking up information like a sponge, always looking for ways to improve.  One word to describe Jason – Oracle. Outside of work Jason mainly nods off, spends time with his family, tries to relax and tags along with Julie to the Chesterfield Ladies Football matches.
Julie Toyne
Director
Julie has worked at Mintdale since 2010.  As a Director, Julie wears many hats and keeps the Mintdale wheels turning behind the scenes.  Whatever challenges come her way, Julie takes them in her stride with a calm approach.  Julie has a vast breadth of experience and knowledge of the processes involved in the manufacture of products they make. As sociable creature, Julie spends time with her family and loves meeting her friends for food and drinks.  Julie also supports Chesterfield Ladies Football Club when they play (Mintdale sponsors their team) and she is a Siberian cat lover.
Ann Walsham
Office Administrator
Ann joined Mintdale in October 2018 having worked in admin and secretarial roles since leaving school a very long time ago.  Being part of a small team, every day throws up surprises, problem solving challenges and the camaraderie is integral to keeping us ticking along.  Ann is the Excel Spreadsheet Queen.
Outside of work, Ann explores the local countryside and Peak District on her bicycle, commuting to work and at weekends with her husband, friends and cycling club, visiting cafes and eating cake, of course!  She also loves cats
.
Christine Toyne
Company Secretary
Chris and Christine met at a factory where Chris worked as an apprentice.  Ken, Christine’s father, was also integral to the progress of Mintdale.  Christine has been at Mintdale since the very start, working mainly in the office but turning her hand to many of the processes which is part of being a family business.  Christine is now retired but does pop in from time to time, with her cheery nature.
Outside of work, Christine works very hard to look after her horses and carriage driving, a very demanding and physical role that keeps her very fit and active.
Michelle Saunders
Office Manager
Shell has been working at Mintdale since early 2017.  She has amazing admin skills and is the go-to person.  Shell is like a dog with a bone when faced with a challenge, no matter how big or small.  A true matriarch, Shell knits everyone together, lends an ear to a problem and looks on the bright side of life, making us smile every day.
Away from work, Shell likes to spend time with her family and more recently with her beautiful grandchildren, who she adores.  She is an animal lover and loves to watch scary films!
